Life is a Walk Pottery is a small garden studio in Wiltshire, where I build my stoneware pots. I slab build and sometimes throw, but my love is in the old fashioned method of coiling. The slow process is almost a meditation in itself, allowing the thoughts to flow freely as the body of the vessel takes on its shape in an almost subconscious, evolutionary way.
I am grateful for my small space and for the beautiful souls who share it with me.
.......And a bit about me
The Soul Essence - where I'm from and where I'm going
No longer identifying with the world of commerce but still holding down a job, I frequently and as often as possible escape to my small garden studio where I pot. The little place where every thought of life, death, the meaning of both and everything in between is wedged and spun as the clay evolves from flexible potential to fixed form.
I love this alchemy as much as I love the alchemy of life, and the eternal cycles in which we live and die. Exponentially wondrous....
In our busy lives we all need a site like this that can inspire us to relook at how we live day to day, and open our eyes to trying and experiencing new things that make us happy and bring more joy and laughter into our lives .......most of us take walks in one form or another but perhaps we can be getting alot more from those walks, and the time it gives us to reflect and look forward..
