Frequently Asked Questions

FAQS: A guide to some of the questions I am asked. If you have a question not covered here, please contact me on this website or through my Instagram page direct messages - link in the page footer.

Do you Ship Internationally?

Yes I do. All shipping charges are shown in my shipping policy in the page footer. Shipping is dependant upon the weight of the item. Some of the very large items are excluded from international shipping because they fall outside of my standard policy criteria. If you find an item you like which does not have international shipping set up, please contact me so we can discuss.

Do you sell to wholesalers?

Yes, I have wholesalers which I make specific products for. If we agree on designs I will ringfence that design for you and brand with your own logo if required, so protecting your market and your IP.  If you are interested in having a wholesale account, please contact me so we can discuss.

Do you sell your products in shops?

No I don't, but I do take my pottery to various fairs and markets. Please keep an eye on the 'NEWS' section of this website, or better still join my mailing list. All upcoming events will be posted in 'NEWS' on this website and in my Newsletters.

Do you make custom orders?

Yes, I can make custom orders for you if required. Please contact so we can discuss your requirements and make a quotation.

How long do your products take to make?

Generally we try to work on a monthly cycle. The products will go through two or sometimes three firings - one for bisque, one for glazing, and then one for any additional special finishes if appropriate. Each kiln cycle take between 2-3 days from firing to cool down. The making time depends on kiln loading and the size of the pieces which are being made, but if you wish to place an order for a custom piece you should allow 4-6 weeks

What do I do if my parcel is lost or damaged?

I will always take very good care when packaging your order but losses and damages do sometimes still occur. As a small business, any losses and/or damages from untracked parcels need to be raised with the shipping company directly. Standard shipping does not include insurance. If you would like to be covered by insurance, I recommend you opt for the tracked delivery option. However, I value all my customers and sales so please do contact me if you have any issues and I will try my best to resolve.

How long have you been making pottery?

I started making pottery nearly 40 years ago whilst I was at art school! Regretfully I turned away from clay in favour of paint. The life got in the way and I didn't practice either until I joined an adult pottery group around 10 years ago. Pottery has been my passion ever since.

What are your inspirations?

I suppose my inspiration is the nature of the material itself. I love anything to do with nature and the earth, so am inspired by food and all ways of enhancing my work by connecting the 'earth' itself with all things which might grow from within it. I also practice Chinese Medicine, Astrology and Astronomy and bring elements from each of these fields into my work from time to time.
